This ceramist (from Portsmouth, England) on Sunday July 19th received the Delft Ceramica Award 2009, consisting of a certificate and a money price of € 2009,00.

At 16.30 Tom Wagemans of ETP Holland invited several of the ceramists who participated in the event to the Vermeer Centre. There they were received by the jury for the Delft Ceramica Award 2009, this year consisting of A3 Huisman, Albert van der Pluym and Hans la Hey. The latter, in his capacity as chairman, announced the winner of the award, John Townsend, who in his short speech told his fellow ceramists how much he had enjoyed his first participation in Delft.
